Enterprise Address System (EAS)

Guidance on using the EAS as a central address source of truth for the City and County of San Francisco

1. All City departments should adopt the Enterprise Addressing System (EAS) as the system-of-record for addresses that are to be used by departmental business systems and applications, and as such, City departments should use the EAS to create and maintain City addresses going forward.

2. All City departments should also use EAS data and derivatives in their work whenever possible, and City departments should strive to align their addresses with EAS address formatting, address identifiers, and data schemas.
