Publish and unpublish

You can publish and unpublish pages in Karl.

(This is a change from Drupal, where pages could be archived, but not unpublished.)

Publish

The publish and unpublish options are in the drop-down menu next to the Save draft button.

Choose Publish to publish your page.

You will not go to your live page after publishing. Instead, you will go to the list of SF.gov pages in the Content Dashboard.

To see your published page, click View Live.

Unpublish

Open the page in Edit mode.

Use the dropdown menu next to Save draft, and choose Unpublish.

You will see a warning that asks if you are sure you want to unpublish. It will tell you how many times your page is "referenced," which means other pages link to it. If other pages reference your page, you may want to remove the links from those pages before you unpublish it.

If you still want to unpublish, click Yes, unpublish it. Your page will return to draft.
