Primary agency

Primary agency is the department or entity that supports a page's content.

Tag your department as the primary agency on a page for several reasons:

• Primary agency displays as a link at the top of a page. Users can use it as a breadcrumb to visit your Agency page.

• Filter your content by primary agency in the content dashboard in Karl

• Primary agency is a required field on all pages (starting mid-November 2025)

Tag your department

• Find the Primary agency component. It should be near the top of the page.

• Click on Choose a page (Agency). A window will open with a search field for Agency pages.

• Type your Agency into the search bar, and you will see it populate.

• Click on your Agency.

You'll see your Agency on the back end of the page.
