Add PDFs to SF.gov
You can add PDFs directly to some pages on SF.gov. You can also upload them in the Documents tab in Karl first (this option is best if you are uploading multiple files at once). Once PDFs are uploaded, you can attach them, or link to them from any kind of page.
Attach PDFs to a page on SF.gov
PDFs can be attached directly to the following content types:
About us
Campaign
Meeting
Report
Resource collection
Transaction
On these content types:
Look within section components for a Document selector. Here is an example from a Campaign page:

The document selector may be within a component called Content, Resources, or Downloadable Files. For example, on a Campaign page, the document selector is nested under Additional content, then Resources, then Downloadable resources.

Click Choose a document

Either Search for a file, or Upload a new one.

To upload, fill in these fields:
Description - a short summary of what the document says
Ex: “Public Health Order allowing the reopening of childcare programs and summer camps for all children.”
You can add bold formatting and links to this text
Published Date (optional)
Click Update
Link to a PDF within a text field using the Document picker

Upload to Karl (best option for multiple PDFs)
Go to Documents in the left navigation.

This will open the document uploader.

Click on the green button
Choose all files you want to upload
Your files will display in the uploader. In this example, 2 files have been uploaded:

For each file, fill in the fields:
Title - replace if you want. We recommend adding your department to the title so you can search for it easily.
Description - a short summary of what the document says
Ex: “Public Health Order allowing the reopening of childcare programs and summer camps for all children.”

Published Date (optional)
Click Update
