Steps

You can add up to 15 steps, but should aim for no more than 5. Steps can be numbered, or start with “and” or “or”.

Any step can be optional.

Each step has:

  • Title*

  • Cost

  • Time the step takes

  • Step description

  • Optional: Link to a transaction on SF.gov

Step types

The default Step type is Number. Adding a title to a step will automatically give you a numbered step.

If you have multiple things in a step, you can select either "and" or "or" as a step type.

Optional

If a step is optional, check the "Optional" box and it will show a boxed label under the step title.

Cost and time

You have the option of adding Cost and Time to each step.

For time, give an idea of how long the step will take. Hours, days, weeks, or months?

You can add a Transaction link if you have one related to a specific step.

  • Click the plus sign icon (+) under Transaction link

  • Click Choose a page and search for the Transaction page you want.
